When the fast-growing Swedish music and tech company Epidemic Sound was moving into its new headquarters in Södermalm in Stockholm a couple of years ago, there was a strong desire from the staff to invest in a really sharp coffee solution.
The company was simply looking for a partner with solid coffee knowledge, combined with a great service spirit to build a long-term relationship with. The choice fell on Convini.
We meet the company’s Facility Manager, Emma Henriksson, and her colleague Amanda Joacimsdotter in the entrance to Epidemic Sound early one morning in November. Convini’s own Master Barista, Matte Carlson Wahlberg, is already on site and preparing for the morning’s planned breakfast event. Epidemic’s custom-built barista cart is rolled out. As a nice perk, employees get an extra luxurious start to the workday this morning. Cappuccino, latte, or why not an espresso? Made by a real coffee professional from Convini, can it get any better?

– Our breakfast events “Beats & Barista Breakfast” are very popular and our barista cart plays an important role. Our “First Impression Area” does not have a traditional reception desk, but instead has a DJ booth that is activated during events like this. So it’s a really great atmosphere to come to work these mornings. Employees are greeted by pleasant tones and a lovely buzz. Convinis Matte fits in like a glove and contributes with both quality and comfort, says Emma.
“Convini has the knowledge and commitment”
There are several reasons why Epidemic Sound chose Convini as its coffee supplier a few years ago.
– I personally have already had good experiences with Kaffeknappen, which is now part of Convini, and during the procurement, the company showed the flexibility and breadth that we were looking for to be able to scale up together with, as well as the knowledge and commitment we wanted. Convini also presented the most interesting machines to lease, says Emma Henriksson.

Positive feedback from employees
From having only coffee machines with brewed coffee in previous offices, the company has today upgraded to coffee machines with a wide range. Something that has been very well received among the more than 400 employees.

– Yes, very positive! We still offer the brewed coffee that we had with the machine that has a high capacity and can provide many with a hot drink quickly. There is also espresso coffee with the option of hot and frothed fresh milk, brew coffee that brews one cup at a time and hot chocolate. The icing on the cake is our “hand chaser”. The barista machine that, accompanied by a grinder, adorns our custom-built Epidemic coffee trolley on wheels, which Convini helped us develop.

“Good coffee is very important in the workplace”
Emma Henriksson has worked with office issues for over 10 years and good coffee has always been at the top of the list of important elements that just have to work in a workplace. A good partner who stands for quality, flexibility and commitment is essential, she says.
Would you recommend Convini to a friend or contact at another company?
– Absolutely! And in fact I have already done so. We wouldn’t work with Convini if we weren’t completely satisfied. As is so often the case, choosing a partner is basically about relationships. I feel that those who have represented Convini since our contact began have had the same attitude as us, to give and take from both sides. And with the goal that what we do will be and remain good,” says Emma Henriksson.
