From day one, long-term thinking has been a natural part of who we are. When Anders Enqvist founded Convini 30 years ago, it was about more than food and coffee – it was about building something that does good. For people. For workplaces. For the future.
We believe in running a business that creates positive energy and well-being – not just here and now, but for generations to come. That’s why sustainability is deeply woven into the way we run Convini.
We are working purposefully towards a circular business model, and our ambition is clear: we aim to be a role model for sustainable business in our industry.

During 2024, we took significant steps forward and carried out several initiatives that make a real difference – for our customers, employees, and for the planet. Scroll on to explore some of this year’s sustainability projects.
We Think Big – and Scientific 🌍
We are incredibly proud that our climate targets are approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). It’s more than a certificate – it’s clear proof that our sustainability work is grounded in science and that we’re actively contributing to the global climate goals.
But we’re not stopping there.
We are now encouraging our suppliers and partners to take the same step – so that more climate targets become SBTi-approved. Together, we’re accelerating positive change across the entire industry. Because real progress happens when we do it together.
Driving Towards 100% Electric
We’re on the move – literally. Our goal is a fully electric vehicle fleet, and we’ve already taken big steps in the right direction 🚚✨ More and more of our transport runs on electricity, and the vehicles not yet replaced are powered by 100% HVO – a climate-smart alternative until we reach the finish line.
At the same time, we’re running several exciting projects to explore how we can use our fleet even smarter. All to make our transportation greener, more efficient – and more sustainable.
Fighting Food Waste
Food waste is one of the big challenges of our time – but also a real opportunity to create meaningful change. At Convini, we’ve set the bar high: we will halve our food waste by 2025.
How? Through smart logistics, well-defined routines and close collaboration with fantastic partners – like Matmissionen 💚 Together, we saved 170 000 products from going to waste this year. That’s a 70% increase compared to the previous year – a major step forward.
Sustainable Equipment – Built to Last ♻
Behind the scenes, our skilled technician team works hard to give every machine the longest and best life possible. In 2024, we refurbished 415 machines – talk about world-class reuse!
All our coffee machines, fridges, freezers and water dispensers are carefully selected for high quality and low energy consumption. The coffee machines automatically switch to energy-saving mode, and all fridges and freezers have the highest possible energy class.
The result? Fewer breakdowns, fewer unnecessary transports – and happier customers. Smart for the planet. Smart for the break.
Sustainable Choices Made Simple – With AI
Sustainable choices should be quick and easy. That’s why we’ve added sustainability scores to our full Convini store assortment. Using AI, every product receives a score from 1 to 100 – based on climate, health, fairness and water impact.
