Gringo Nordic Coffee Roasters is a small, curious roastery in Gothenburg, passionate about really good coffee – or as they say themselves: Good Honest Coffee. The coffee is sourced as 100% specialty coffee from individual farms, plantations and cooperatives around the world, where every grower works with care for both quality and the environment.

Slow roast with
focus on taste
At the roastery in central Gothenburg, coffee is hand-roasted in small batches using the so-called slow roast method – one of the most energy-efficient roasting techniques in the world.
Each coffee variety receives a carefully developed roasting profile that highlights it’s unique flavor notes, creating a perfect balance of sweetness, acidity and richness.
Who are
gringo nordic?
Gringo was founded in 2018 by Johan Ekfeldt, the former founder of Sweden’s first specialty coffee roastery, Johan & Nyström. Together with his wife Pernilla and a bunch of lovely Gringos, he runs the roastery in Gothenburg.
The name Gringo has a personal history: when Johan worked on his coffee farm Finca La Tierra in Colombia, the workers called him “Gringo” – a name that stuck and became the symbol of the roastery’s curiosity, passion and warmth.
It feels really great to be part of the Convini coffee world, where passion for quality and sustainability is at the center. It is an honor for us that our coffee, which is gently roasted to bring out its unique character, now becomes part of Convini’s wide and sustainable range. We look forward to contributing to Convini’s success and together taking the coffee experience in our Swedish workplaces to new heights.
